We started GOOD SHADES because we wanted to make sunglasses differently. Better materials, longer-lasting design, and products people actually want to keep around.

But doing things properly goes beyond the frames themselves.

That is why a portion of every pair sold is donated to initiatives that help improve access to glasses and vision care for people who need it. Because clear vision should not depend on where you happen to live.

We are not trying to change everything overnight. Just trying to make better things, more thoughtfully, one pair at a time.

Our frames are made from a blend of bio-based and recycled acetate, combining plant-derived materials with certified recycled content. Same look. Same feel. Just made more thoughtfully.

We keep our collections intentionally small, focus on timeless shapes over short-lived trends, and build products designed to hold up over time. Because the most sustainable pair of sunglasses is usually the one you do not need to replace next summer.
